What travelling guests need to know
Getting there
Nearest airports, which UK airports fly there direct, and when to book. Updated if a route changes.
Where to stay
Your room block, the booking code, the deadline, and two or three options at different prices.
Getting between things
The coach from the hotel to the venue, pick-up times, and the last bus back. Revealed once it's confirmed.
More than one day
Welcome drinks, the wedding, the recovery lunch. Each guest sees only the events they're invited to.
Two languages
Your UK guests and your local family each read it in their own language, from the same site.
The practical bits
Weather, dress code for the heat, currency, tipping, and a link to gov.uk travel advice for entry rules.
Destination wedding questions
What should a destination wedding website include?
At minimum: the dates of every event, nearest airports, accommodation with any booking codes and deadlines, transport between the hotel and venue, an RSVP deadline earlier than a UK wedding, dress code for the climate, and a contact for questions on the day. Bilingual weddings need all of it in both languages.
When should guests RSVP for a wedding abroad?
Earlier than for a UK wedding. Many couples ask for replies 3 to 4 months ahead so they can confirm hotel blocks and coach numbers. We set reminders to match your supplier deadlines.
